Beta: Smart Voicemail is a beta feature and may change.
Smart Voicemail turns every voicemail your virtual numbers receive into a quick read — so you can decide what to do without listening to the audio first.
For each voicemail, Smart Voicemail extracts:
- A transcript — the full word-for-word text of the message
- A summary — a one- or two-sentence write-up of what the caller said
- The caller's name as picked up from the message itself
- A category — a colour-coded badge showing what the call was about (New Enquiry, Complaint, Urgent, Callback, Follow Up, Spam, Wrong Number, or General)
- A suggested action — what we think you should do next, like "call back today" or "no action needed"
Everything appears in the Inbox against each voicemail row, alongside the original audio recording.
What it costs
Nothing extra. Smart Voicemail is included on every plan (Start, Grow, and Run) and runs on every virtual number on your account by default.
What hasn't changed
The original audio recording is still available on every voicemail row, and the voicemail-to-email you already get continues to work as normal. Smart Voicemail adds context on top — it doesn't replace anything.
Where to go next
- What's in your Smart Voicemail Inbox — how to read the results in the portal
- Smart Voicemail categories — what each of the eight categories means
- Turn Smart Voicemail on or off — switch it off for a specific number if you'd rather not have those calls transcribed
