You can bring a number to everreach from another provider, or take your number elsewhere if you move to a different provider. Neither is self-serve in the everreach portal — to bring a number in, open a support ticket; to take a number out, start the request with your new provider.
Bring a number from another provider
Open a support ticket and include:
- The phone number you want to bring across
- Who your current provider is
We'll respond with what we need to start the port — typically your account details with your current provider and a recent bill. Ports are coordinated at the network-operator level, so timing depends on your current provider; we'll update the ticket as it progresses.
Move your number to another provider
You have the right to take your number with you. Start the port with your new provider — they'll handle the request with us after you initiate it. There's nothing to do in your everreach account first.
Keep the number active in your everreach account until the port completes. A number can only be ported while it's still in service — if you remove it (or cancel your subscription) before the port goes through, the number goes out of service and the port can't complete.
