Audio prompts are short recordings you can use in your call flow — for example, the welcome message at the start of an IVR menu, a greeting before forwarding a call, or the message a caller hears when they reach voicemail. Prompts are stored in your audio library and can be reused across your call flow.
There are two ways to create a prompt: type text and we'll convert it to speech, or have us call you to record it in your own voice.
Where to find your audio prompts
- Log in at portal.everreach.co.uk
- Open Reception and click into the number you want to set up
- Go to the Audio tab
Create a prompt from text (text-to-speech)
- Click Create Audio Prompt
- On the Text-to-Speech tab, give your prompt a name (e.g. "Sales menu welcome")
- Type the message you want spoken, then save
You can play the prompt back from the audio library.
Record a prompt in your own voice
- Click Create Audio Prompt
- Choose the Call Me to Record tab
- Pick a phone number for us to call you on, then click Call Me to Record
- Answer the call, follow the instructions, and record your message
- After you hang up, return to the audio library and give the prompt a name
Notes
- By default, prompts are available across all your virtual numbers. To restrict a prompt to the current number, tick Tie this prompt to the current virtual number when creating it.
- You can rename or remove prompts from the audio library. If a prompt is in use in a call flow, update the flow before removing it.
